Travel sometimes comes with challenges. A missed connecting flight cut our time together in Budapest down to 24 hours.
Trying to make the most of our short stay we kept to the streets and out of the museums and tour-type attractions.
We started at our hotel on the Buda side of the Danube near the Chain Bridge. We walked for miles, got taken by a cab driver
and rode the second oldest subway line in the world still in operation and a second that took us under the Danube. The day ended
back on the Buda side at the old town and the Fisherman's Bastion with sweeping views of the city and a short funicular ride back to
our hotel.
